
1950s-style clip hat with mixed feathers, satin bow and vintage buckle
This 'clip hat' has a springy wire edging hidden under the petersham ribbon which allows it to be moulded to the wearer's head, and be worn without other fastenings. Covered with mixed feathers ('found', or recycled vintage) including cockerel, guinea fowl, and pheasant. Finished with a brown satin bow and vintage buckle.

Black velvet bandeau with silver stars
This black velvet clip hat - or bandeau - features two silver stars, studded with Swarovski crystals. The stars are linked with a swag of black glass bugle beads. This piece is inspired by the details on a dress worn in the 1980s music video for 'Don't Stop The Dance' (Bryan Ferry).






80s inspired black and red toque hat with button detail
This large black toque hat has an overlap detail with a single large button and flares out in a classic 1980s style. It was inspired by the geometric shapes of Russian constructivist fashion in the 1920s, which in turn inspired some New Romantic styles in the early 1980s. It also nods to the Gary Numan album Telekon.

80s style black toque hat with ruching and feathers
This large black toque hat is a classic 1980s shape, flaring out slightly at the top, and was inspired by Blitz Kids outfits. The 4 feathers are mounted on two brooch pins, and can be removed or pinned in different placements. It is part of my 2020 Transformed collection, where the starting point for each piece was reusing or repurposing existing materials.
